A traditional Sunday destination for those in search of locally grown produce, plants and flowers. Local craftsmen, as well as live entertainment round out the downtown ambience. The market is hosted by the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce and is located on State and Clinton Streets in Downtown Howell.
Howell's Pink Party
A Downtown wide fund raiser event by the community, for the community, benefitting breast cancer research, cure, and treatment. Michigan Challenge Ballonfest
June 26-28, 2020
The state championship of hot-air ballooning! This event attracts over 100,000 spectators. A weekend of uplifting adventure includes stunt kites, K-9 dog show, family fun tent, custom car show, carnival, skydivers, arts and crafts show, plus more then 50 hot air balloons in five scheduled launches and an evening balloon glow.
Downtown activities include Kids Day on Saturday and Music Day on Sunday. The Michigan Challenge Balloonfest is hosted by the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce and also includes the 5K Chase. For more information visit michiganchallenge.com.
Howell Melon Festival

Organized by the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority. Held in downtown Howell since 1960, is a great family-friendly Howell tradition, celebrating the famed, delicious cantaloupe grown only in Howell. Fantasy Of Lights Parade

The tradition of the Fantasy of Lights Parade takes place each year the day after Thanksgiving.
Up to 60 floats and marching bands dazzle and delight the crowded streets of downtown Howell. Each float has a minimum of 5,000 lights used to provide a breath taking display.

Art At The Millpond

"Art at the Mill Pond" lends an atmosphere of festivity to summer Thursday evenings downtown. Now in its tenth year, Brighton Art Guild members display, create and sell their art in this unstructured event in front of the Mill Pond along Main Street in downtown Brighton.
Folks enjoying an ice cream or taking an after dinner stroll along Main Street may wander by and visit with the exhibiting artists and some Thursdays include live music performed by Guild members. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to enjoy unique art produced by the area's best artists.

Brighton Mainstreet Wine, Art & Music Festival

The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend the 30th Annual Brighton Fine Art & Acoustic Music Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 5-7, 2016. The event has expanded to a three day extravaganza on Main Street in historic downtown Brighton.
As one of the most prestigious juried art festivals in Southeast Michigan, this event draws highly talented artists who travel from across the state and nation to participate. Each year, Brighton’s Fine Art and Acoustic Music Festival draws large crowds from Livingston County, Oakland County, Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor and Lansing. People partake in event activities while savoring local foods and listening to aesthetically soothing music. The event is in perfect three-way harmony combining art, music and setting! Multiple stages of acoustic music will be featured on Main Street, adding ambiance to the event. Visitors are able to speak one-on-one with artisans about their original works in glass, watercolor, oils, sculpture, photography, pottery, jewelry, woodcarvings and more.

Brighton's Holiday Glow

Brighton’s Holiday Glow is the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce’s event that launches the holiday season with festivities that will bring a glow to the faces of all in attendance.
The event begins at 4:00pm with holiday music, dance performances from local companies, hay rides, train rides, a nativity petting farm, a station to write letters to Santa, tasty holiday treats and very special seasonal sales by local merchants.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will join the Mayor of the City of Brighton and Mike Marino and Jon King of WHMI’s “Morning Crew” at approximately 5:45 p.m. at the Mill Pond in downtown Brighton where Santa will magically light the trees to orchestrated synchronized music.
